GR8 Limited is an Event Management and Marketing Company established by its Directors Gary Lathrope and Rachael Murray in 2008.
The company’s business platform has been focused around Motorsport Events as both Directors have had many years’ involvement within this industry.
Gary Lathrope’s background began with competing in circuit racing for some years before turning his focus to Event Organisation and running Race meetings to Tier One and V8SuperCar levels at Pukekohe Park Raceway and Hampton Downs.
Rachael Murray’s motorsport involvement started at a young age being part of the well known Anderson Family, she has been around the sport when both Bruce and Wayne Anderson were competing in the 80’s.
With the common motorsport passion and knowledge it seemed logical for GR8 Limited to focus in and on motorsport events.
Since its inception GR8 Limited has promoted and run 3 very successful Track Experience days at Pukekohe.
GR8 developed the Corporate Club held at ‘Thunder in the Park’ at Pukekohe. GR8 was responsible for promoting and marketing, along with arranging catering.
We also organised and ran fundraising Track Day's for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter at Pukekohe, in which we managed to raise funds for the well known ‘Chopper’.
GR8 has also been involved in organising and running the sporting side for the V8SuperCar event when it was in Hamilton and also now with the return of the round to Pukekohe.
The Hamilton rounds of V8SuperCar’s was a major project which involved recruiting and training all the Sporting Volunteers for this Event along with total co-ordination for the running the Event during the 4 days in conjunction with Graeme Robertson of GJ Management.
Gary and Rachael have worked with BNT V8SuperTourers/NZSuperTourers at all of their rounds organising and managing all aspects of the sporting opperations along with general Event set up and adminstration including entry form collation.
GR8, you could conclude, is committed to having fun with Motorsport!
